1. Who we are

Car Trust ("we", "us") is a taxi and car service based in Kiryas Joel, NY 10950. You can reach us 24/6 at (845) 525-1234 or [email protected].

2. The service

We provide passenger ground transportation: local rides in and around Kiryas Joel and long-distance trips (for example to Brooklyn, the airports, or the Catskills). Rides can be requested by phone, by text message, or through this website. Every request is subject to driver availability.

2a. Text message program

Customers who opt in when booking receive transactional ride texts from Car Trust: booking confirmations, driver updates, and receipts. Message frequency varies by ride. 3. Booking and estimates

• A booking is confirmed when we accept it and assign (or begin searching for) a driver.
• Price estimates shown online or quoted by phone are estimates. The final price of a trip is confirmed at the end of the ride.
• We may decline or cancel a booking for safety, availability, or misuse reasons.

4. Payment

• Rides can be paid in cash, from a prepaid Car Trust account balance, or by card.
• Card payments are charged only after the final price of the trip is confirmed.
• Account balances are prepaid credits; they are not a bank account and earn no interest.

5. Your responsibilities

• Provide accurate pickup information and a phone number where the driver can reach you.
• Treat drivers and vehicles with respect. Damage to a vehicle caused by a passenger may be charged to the passenger.
• Child seats: passengers are responsible for supplying and installing child restraints required by law.

7. Liability

We operate as a licensed car service. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability for delays, missed connections, or indirect losses is limited to the amount paid for the affected trip. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

9. Changes

We may update these terms; the version on this page applies to new bookings. Material changes will be posted here with an updated date.
